Help me satisfy the wife!
Need to make an extended road trip in my 2006 QC, SLT, 4x4. My wife wants to hang clothes instead of putting them in the suitcase and getting them wrinkled.
Has anyone found a need/wayto hang a clothes bar in the rear for 2-weeks worth of clothes for 2 people? The ones I found need to be screwed into the head liner or hanging from the trim. I don't think that it will support the weight.
The clothes hooks are over the back seat and not along the doors.
Any help?
Thanks.

i remember seeing a hanger bar that hangs from the overhead grabhandles. no screws no clamps. if i can remember where i saw it i will post. do the qc's have the handles above the rear doors?
SORRY! I forgot there are so many models. The grab handles for the rear seat passengers are in the pillars between the front and rear doors.
Otherwise there are a million clothes bars out there.

oh. grab handles on the b pillar are not gonna work. looks like you are gonna have to make something. some 1 1/2 pvc pipe & fittings and a long 1 1/4 in dia wooden dowel come to mind. make2 A frame like ends out of the pvc and the dowel will span between them across the seat. that's something quick and dirty and would require some lateral support, but will work if you need it now.
You could run a clothes line between the two grip handles and hang clothes from that. You might partially lose vision from the rear view but that's not too big of a loss.
Tried and failed. I tried a typical clothes bar and it hung way too low. It also spins the clothes sideways and pushes them too far forward. Something so simple and yet not quite.
Thanks for the help. Anyone else?????

Ok, diagonal. Run a clothes line from the grip handle diagonally to the garment hook above the back window.
There's always option 2, "Listen woman! Pack them in a damn bag! I'm the man and what I say goes!"
PS, I am sure the couch will be comfortable too.

Ok run to Lowes of Home Depot and make one out of PVC pipe that straddles the seats. I am hoping you have a quad cab. If not enjoy the ride in the Jeep, make sure you wear dark glasses and try to alter your looks too.
