What is the actual problem when towing the jeep?

Can't pull certain steep hills (what gear)

Upset with MPG ?

Overheating?

Not happy with acceleration onto interstate?

i live in ont canada and almost every weekend i go into northern ont , which has twisty hilly rds , and the truck doesnt pull like i want it too. If i only did this 3 or 4 times a year ya it would be liveable. Couldnt afford a diseal so here i am. Also my truck came with a larger tire from factory 265 instead of 245 I know its minute but still I just think the gearing is too low. With the bigger tires and tow package i have should have came with the 392 instead of the 355.

i'd go even lower than 3.92....4.10 or even 4.56. i have 3.92 w/ 265 tires and would still like a little more tow power. if you aren't constantly driving lots of highway miles...go w/ the 4.56. also if you go from 265/70 tires to something bigger, you'll need to figure that into the gear equation. but, that's just what i'm doing...going from stock to 33" tires and to 4.56 gears...i also have a lot of truck to move down the highway.
