supposed to get my 2007 megacab 2500 5.9l diesel tomorrow. I have been reading for the past 4 hours all the problems with poor ac on the megacabs. I have checked the internet etc also. consensus is the a/c sucks. are there any fixes yet? is it affecting all the megacabs with the 5.7l diesels? some of the articles say some megacabs are ok but with the gas motors. whats the latest? I dont want to spend $50k tomorrow if the a/c sucks, I live in vegas. thanks asap

 

I guess the problem is that the compressor for the mega cab is the same as the regular cabs and the quad cabs so they don't cool down the whole cab as fast. There is no fix right now for it but take it in under warranty and talk to them about it to light a fire under their butt. Or just test out the ac big time before you sign on the dotted line. My ac freezes me out, but I'm in a regular cab.

forget my question, I just went down and bought a new 2008 mega diesel and the air so far is fantastic-live in vegas. I have to turn it down after a few minutes. done deal.

pics? its stock, white, mega etc. I guess I could send you a pic off the dodge website. has the chrome upgrade wheels that come with laramie. I am probably getting 2-3" lift kit, bigger rims and tires, and electric steps. I will probably have all the decals and emblems taken off so it will look clean etc. I cant add pic anyway, this website needs url and I dont have any pics in url style or whatever.
