4.56 GEAR NOISE

RE: 4.56 GEAR NOISE
Every experienced gear installer I have ever asked has said the same thing, "If properly installed, aftermarket gears should make no noise whatsoever".
I can only speak for myself, but mine make no audible noise at all, at least nothing that I can hear over my exhaust.

RE: 4.56 GEAR NOISE
It's in the pinnon I had a set of 4.56 stuck in my old truck they were in the rear end at least 10 times they never got in right I ended up trade it in for my Dodge truck I have now.
The pinnon song like a girl at prom night.
Putthe truck on jack stands with the front tire blocked. Put a steel rod or a socket extention on you'r rear end and have someone put the truck in gear and spin the rear end under power thats a easy way to pin point were the noise is comming from It sounds like Pinnon either bad preload or pinnon bearing could be ring and pinnon pattern but sounds pinnon bearing or preload.
Like I said my last truck went in at least 10 times they were glad I traded in there night mare truck.
If it is a bad gear set will the dealer replace them for you ?.

RE: 4.56 GEAR NOISE
Over the years I've had all kinds of gears up to 4.88's in a Baldwin Motion Camaro.
I only had a whine with my first set in my ram, had the installer follow the proper preload and backlash from the manual and now they are fine.
The 9.25 chrysler rear is different than any other rear and must be set up their way or the gears will whine.
