My '01 SBRC had one. Damn fine motor. Great torque and decent mileage. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems the 5.2L was quicker in the same truck than the 5.9L. Something about the torque peak rpm was lower with the 5.2 vs. the 5.9, so it got off the line quicker.

 

hmmm i dunno....my 96 ram had the 360 in it and i always beat guys that had the 318...my truck was a 4x2 extended cab as was theirs......except mine actually got really good mileage, better then my Hemi.....use to get 22 MPG on the highway cruisin at 70, my hemi is lucky to get 21 with a tail wind lol

 

The 318 was really a GREAT engine... tooo bad they did away with it and gave us that dammed 4.7 litre....
