Default Superchip 3815 updates.

I have just recently purchased the Superchip 3815 and love it however there is still some unavailble features for the 07. These features are the Rev Limiter and the Shipt Time. I contacted Superchip and asked them when they will be available cause I want those options almost more then anything. His reply was exactly what I was looking for. Here is a copy of his relpy for anyone whos interested.

"They are currently working on them, when everything is setup to optimal
performance it will be released. Should be real soon, check back in
about 30 days. thanks"

Stock answer, must have been Ron. I got the same answer a year ago for questions regarding custom tunes and EGR valve off/on feature. I got THE EXACT SAME ANSWER. Now not only don't we still have either, but my last reply regarding the EGR question was that the feature was taken off the back burner and there is no immediate plans for it. Meanwhile the programmer told me the feature is as simple to program as flipping a switch.
Frustrating, especially since I asked the rep specifically about custom tunes before I bought it and was told I'd be able to d/l in about a month. This was in April of '06...
It's a good product, and I probably would have spent the money for what it does now (the tranny shifting alone is worth it to me) but don't lie to me to sell a product - that really burns my A_S!!!

That sounds like a big company alright, would be crap if it turned out the same way for me. But like you said thw gains I have seen are very good but I could only imagin it with everything available. I do have one question for you though, was the update you where waiting for completly new to the truck or was it the same options as a previous yearsjust not available yet? Did they promise a new feature or just not update from the previous year?

I'll never buy nor recommend Superchips again.

So much has been promised in writing and on the package that never has been offered. Hell, sounds like a good "False Advertising" claim written all over it if you ask me.

I think the best part is when I post on their forums about my problems they post like they have contacted me or want me to contact them and it never works. I send PM’s that go un-answered, and they have never sent me an email. Seems to me they want people to think they are helping me and the truth is they have done nothing to help.

I love Ron’s reply on this board to my problem.

“We have looked into his specific issue and can not find the problem with the tuning.
With the thousands of tuners we sell for the 2006 trucks there has been only a few with this complaint.
Ronâ€

So I take that as. As long as only a few people have problems then who cares. We already have his money.

If that's the case then every car mechanic and manufacturer is guilty of the same thing. A few people will come in about the same problem, literally a drip of water in the ocean, and the experts can't find a reason for this. Until they have something else to go on they are going to treat it like a cop treats an unsolved crime, file it and go on to the next problem. If you don't ever want to use superchips again, it's your choice. Have a cool beans day.

This all makes good sense and hopefully its not true or at least as true as Pirata suggested. I am right now very very happy with the Superchip it's just that I know it will make much better time at the tack with the rev and shift setting. So the way I look at it it can only get better.

P.S. I just hope for all our sakes that this is not the same kind of situation, we can only wait and hope though.

Cheers.

Default RE: Superchip 3815 updates.

I just called Superchips just to see what they would say in person. Wow what a bunch of A&%HOLES, basically the answer was "I don't know or if we even will have them". The when I explained the website and ad bothshow thatthe updates are cumming I got this answer. "Ok thanks for calling" then he hung up. I am going to attach this section's URL to the email I will send them just so they can see what they have created.

Here is a copy of the email I just sent them, lets see if they actually care about the customer.

I am very very happy with the performance gains from my Superchip but I am very unhappy with the way the Superchips company treats it's customers.

I just purchased the 07 Hemi updated 3815 and there is still some non-updated sections (rev limiter and shift times) that have been promised to come (this is in the ad and the product section of your website). The least Superchips can do for a person that just spent $500.00 on there product is to talk to them with a little respect. Is it because you already have my money that you can ignore my questions and inquiries. You beet constantly beet around the bush to answer my questions, why?

Can you please reply to this with a genuine email not the same composed one that you gave me last time that was the exact same as an other persons from two years ago with the same problem.
If I get the same anwser as the last two times I will make sure to post this email and your answer on all my dodge forums and this will be discussed in great detail with the community and the others you have so easily ignored that really are interested in your product.

Q: When will the final updates (Rev limiter and shift times) be available for the 07 3815 Hemi flashpaq?

P.S. Here is the link to one dodge forum that has already started to discuss this serious issue so you understand how serious this is.
