Default Magna Flow dual exhaust on 2007 5.7L

I have just recently bought a 2007 Ram Big Horn with the 5.7 hemi. I have put on the K&N Cold Air Intake Kit and a Magna Flow Cat-Back Dual exhaust. When I am driving at a low speed (up to 50 mph) and at low rpm (1500 or less) the engine almost sounds like it is lugging (missing). When I step on the gas it smooths out and runs and sounds great. It is the MDS engine so I was thinking it may be kicking down to four cylinders and that is what is changing the sound. If anyone else has run into this I could use the knowledge of what is going on. Thanks

I own a pre-MDS Hemi, so I have no first hand experience, but there are quite a number of posts on this and other forums that I have read where a large number of people with MDS trucks experience what you are describing. So I would say that your assessment is correct.

this may be a dumb question but is there a programer that can be used to turn of the MDS?
