cel eliminator/o2 simulator
just wondering if there's anything to eliminate the code thrown from not having cats. just got new headers and off-road y pipe and anxious to get them on. will the mustang mil eliminators work? please offer any suggestions
good luck....as about a couple yrs ago, the gov't started regulating this kind of stuff and pretty much put an end to O2 simluators.....just do some fab work on the cats and put em in...they aint hurtin nothin and then just extend the wiring...it may sound like alot of work, but better then dealing with a MIL all the time
They're expensive, but:

also, you can try the non-fouler trick. Use the spark plug non fouler's doubled up as spacers that will bring the sensor out of the stream of exhaust gases.

how about rigging up the MIL eliminators they make for mustangs? it sounds like even if i put cats on i will still get a code. dont really want to spend the 100-150 on cats then 200 for those cat sim boxes.

Just know that the only way to truly extend an O2 harness is to have an extension made with connectors on it. You can't just simply cut the middle of the harness and solder in some longer wires. O2 sensors are pretty much the only sensor that you can't extend this way. It's because of the resistance that the PCM reads from the sensor.

i just said "extend"
lol
i've gota suggestion for ya . haha.. get a suprchip programmer or somethin that reads your codes, upgrade youre computer for a few extra hp maybe mpg. and just check weekly to see if any different codes come on besides the o2 sensor codes.. hahahah, give you an excuse to get a programmer

already have a superchips. the problem is that with a trouble code....especially the cat one, the computer goes into a lower performance mode. my mds doesnt come on either. that's my main concern. truck runs right now. all i have on are the headers though, and it is loud! i mean loud!! no power though. lol. no back pressure, and the trouble code does a lot.
