Finally got my new exhaust!!
ORIGINAL: Big#44
does it have a nice rumble at idle?? i mean i want something that sounds like an aftermarket exhaust but right now when you rev it up it sounds likd a 240sx. which isnt bad i just dont want that for my full size truck.
if you find out let me know what type of muffler it is or whatever. is it like a name brand (magnaflow, flowmaster) cause i know the carry mufflers like what your describing.
idk, maybe im just trying too hard to get this thing to be a truck!!! lol

I ended up going with a aftermarket stock type muffler 3 inch in 3 inch out 20 inch long sound great at Idle sounds like a stock V-8 and nice rummble at HWY speeds next time I go by the place who put it on I asked them what brand it was.

Thats if you want the annoying loud resonating in the cab noise at HWY speeds it sounds cool in town but to loud up on the HWY I had a Magaflow 20 inch 3 inch in 3 inch out I ended up taking off removing the Maganloud was the best thing I did.

Magnaflow is probably going to be your best bet if you don't like the popping and cracking.

Good luck and now I know what brand I have on the truck also.
I justinstalled a Flowmaster super 40 onto my truck about 2 weeks ago. Ran 3 inch pipe from the downpipe all the way to the back and split the pipes. Single in dual out. I owned a magnaflow exhaust system before with 2 1/4 inch piping. In my opinion, the magnaflow wasnt very loud and it seemed to sound more like a rice rocket due to my v6. The new Flowmaster I put on sounds much throatier and heavier, and it doesnt crack or pop, even at high speeds. In my opinion, I'd stick with either a flowmaster or go to maybe even a Borla.
I wouldnt know the difference...however, the super 40 has a great sound. The super 44 is a bit quieter, but i think it still is just as good. I prefer a little more in cab noise. But i believe that both are awesome mufflers.
the super 44 is the loudest and most aggressive, thats why im wondering if i should maybe move down to the super 40 cause the 44 may be too much for the v6. lol
with a trottle body spacer and the k&n intake it sounds not to bad defenetly not like a rice burner if i sounded like that i would have ripped it off by now. i hate that anoying farting sound.
does the intake make that much of a difference in the sound of the exhaust? cause right now i have an ebay intake, and i put a k&N on my moms 3.7 liberty and her engine sounds alot lower pitched.
maybe ill just shell out the 300 bucks and get a k&n
