Let's see:
Dropped $200 on a full exterior & interior detail. Buffed/waxed/shampooed/cleaned everything. Truck looked NICE. Then it rained on it.
Installed OEM fogs with Silverstas - love them! Easy install too!!!!!
Noticed a power steering fluid leak while installing fog lights...then it rained.
Checked fluid - it was low. Filled it - drove from Mass to NH - and power steering was almost empty. Looked around and found it was the Power Steering oil cooler had let go....VERY random I thought. Called dealer - ordered it. Had it the next morning - installed it - new fluid throughout. No leaks - but definitely have some excessive power steering noise with engine idle - I think the pump got too low and I possibly smoked a bearing or something.....oh yeah...then it rained again.
BUT - got 17.4mph on Highway averaging about 75mph - filled up at $3.69.
Still raining out!
Anyone else ever had the power steering oil cooler let go?

I washed and waxed mine. She puuurty now. Since buying it new in 2004 I have installed a KVH TracVision A5 DirecTV Satellite system with an Alpine IVA-D310 Multimedia with blackbird navigation.
Also just had a Hydrogen Generator put in last month and it is doing great. I will not discuss the Hydrogen thing here since we have another thread going on this under Hydrogen generator.
Oh by the way I love my truck. My other vehicles is:
2006 H2 Hummer
2000 E320 Mercedes Benz
1998 BMW Z3 Roadster w/20,000 mi
Cisco

I won a pair of the Mopar Ram head extra wide mud flaps on the _bay. Just moved and forgot where I put my drill bit set and had to wait. After locating them it was a pretty simple install. the 04 1500 has two existing holes that I placed the flap against and gave a couple taps with a hammer to mark their locations. Then I started with a smaller drill bit ( pilet hole ) and then the 3/8" called for. After installing with provided 3/8 screws I checked position and made third to correct any very little angle adjustments. Very easy install. Then a wash and wax.

filled my diff's with RP gear oil....sheared a couple of bolts off in the process...learning experience: Don't trust tools you haven't used before. Used a cheap "clicking" torque wrench, bad call....made a big "click" when it snapped the bolt off. Easily drilled and tapped out, but enough to eat up alot of my day. Hope the new fluids make a difference.

After dragging MY lazy A_ _ out of bed around 2:00 pm ( Sunday ) I checked my only and favorite forum page ( this one ) and based on feedback from a couple of other forum members ( xfeejayx and HammerZ71 ) I lowered the air pressure on my 265/70/17's from 44psi. to recommended 38psi. I then thanked members at post and returned my Lazy A_ _ Back to bed.
