Ive had mine up to 130mph on the long barren stretch of highway between AZ and vegas. If there are any other vehicles on the road I wont even bother with speeding, I usually justexcellerate hardand will stop about 5-10 miles over the limit and back off. And Id never gothose speeds with out some high performance tires not only for the speed rating but for control and grip as well.Seemed like it took you forever to get up to thatspeed though. 0-120 ina minuteisn'tmuch to brag about. Hell you can bring a geo metro up to a hundered plus in that amount of time.

Also if you are going to continue to make vids of youdriving at those speeds DONT video tape it your self, find some idiotwho wants to go with you and have him video tape it or better yet mount the camera so you have full control over your truck. Doingwhat you were doing just isnot safe, onebump in the road, one pothole that wasn't there the night before, one small animal that accidently runs out in front of you and your truck will be rolling on its side for about 40+ feet or tipped over on the side of the road.

just tryin to save a life somewhere. maybe yours, maybe someone elses. it happens all the time. and every one of them said "it won't be me, i know what i'm doin".
i spent quite a few years drag racing (69 chevelle 454 650hp) best pass was 11.69 at 118 with 2 lobes worn off the cam (roller lifter link bar broke). i know all about speed and know what it can do.

BTW-i agree about the ford thing.

seriously though, like truckin 151 said, a deer runs out in front of you at those speeds and its over, for you and him.

My mother died in a mercury sable and the speedo was stuck at 55mph. Probably be ok in a truck at that speed, but not at 120. That's why they have a governor. Someone offered to raise my limit, but I think when my kid is 16, I'll just get him to lower the limiter instead.

just to add a little background. i had a friend that was a veteran drag racer. he used to race an 11 second maverick. he then bought a roadster drag car and about a month later was killed at the track in it. the only problem he had was a little dip in the track that he never noticed in an 11 second car. he lost control and hit the guard rail. he had every piece of safety equipment on and still didn't make it. i would imagine at 1/2 that speed without the equipment you wouldn't have a chance.

It is not death that you should be afraid of, You should be afraid of being a vegetable and on a vent forever. Spend a day with me and I promise you will think twice.
