i was wanting to perform a 6" suspension lift on my 03 hemi 4x4. will i need to lengthen the drive line or what else am i getting into that i may not know, any help from experience will help. thx.

 

A good kit made specifically for your model/year should come with everything needed to complete the job.

like hammer said a (good) kit will come with everything you need,if you fine a cheap kit the drive shafts may not come with it an in the long run cost you more,plus this is your suspension i would not go cheap an wonder every time you start bashing if it was going to hold up,this is just me,i would wait until i had the money for a good kit an not have to worry,plus not have all the problems putting it on an nothing fitting right.that pisses me right off

 

Yeah i agree with both the guys above. This isn't a project you wanna take any shortcuts on. You wanna buy a good kit that will have everything you need. I would suggest just taking a look at all the lift kits you can find and narrowing it down to the one you want. I think you'll find that Fab-tech makes the least expensive 6" (really 5.5") of the big names. Lots of people have it on 02-05 Rams and like it.
I have a 4" Rancho and paid more than the 6" Fabtec. But I have my reasons for wanting the Rancho, as I have plenty to clear the 35" tires I wanted and I feel it handles better than 6" of lift.

Expect to pay about $1800 for a full kit w/shocks.

Just make sure you get a drop pitman arm.....
