...the 91 tune does get better mileage...obviously with the better gas as well...the 87 is ok, I ran that when gas was really high..but performance an mileage was compromised with lower octane..

Hey Pappy have you messed with the 87 tune any? When I open mine up right at about 50-55mph the engine revs really high before it shifts (almost sounds like it shifts its self into nuetral)and it is really anoying. I haven't touched the rev limiter, the only thing I changed was the speed limiter.
Yeah I tried the 87 tune and no Sir didn't like it...

As for your rev problem try returning the truck to stock (remove the SC tune all together). Drive it around for a while and see if it still does it. That way you will know if its da tuner causing it.

yeah my truck shifts pretty hard at WOT...good ole 2nd gear scratches lol....but i quit doin that cause it was suckin down too much gas....if i drive my truck normal, i get about 15 in town and this last trip to chicago i made i was getting 18.9 when i pulled into the parking lot (doing 75-85 MPH) and this is on the performance tune....my shift points i have them at 5880 and speed limiter at 140

So at 91 octane, with the MPG saved, would that pretty much be the same price filling up in 87 octane?
Might have to try that out.

Yeah it is really worth the performance gains vs the piddly amount of cash for fuel (to me that is)
