Underseat subs....Sound quality???
I came across a MTX Thunderform for my 07 QC for 100 bucks.Whats the sound quality with the subs being under the seats? Will the bass still rattle my mirrors?Ill be using 2 10" Infinity's and a 600 watt MTX amp.Does anyone have an opinion on this??
A friend of mine has the mtx thunderform box with the mtx subs. 600 fosgate amp and it sounds pretty damn good. he is running another amp for highs and mids, and a mtx electronic x-over.
Two subs under the rear seats will have limited air space in a normal box, so they wont hit really hard. They will still rattle your mirrors, but wont reach there capacity.

07Ramjam... Just make sure that you match the air space of the box to the recommended air space needed for the sub.
If you look in my gallery, you can see the system that I am currently running...
Thanks for the responses!!
Im not trying to win any competitions or anything,I just want to get the giant box off of my backseat.
Im not sure how to find out if my subs match the box.The Thunderform is used and doesnt come with any paperwork and my subs are a couple of years old and once again I have no paperwork

Bass knows no direction. It may not hit as hard, but you will probably be happy.

I have the factory box with factory 10" infinity sub and it hits nice! I lift the seat up to cool the amp and you can tell the difference from when its down, but still sounds good either way!
I just installed a 10" MB Quart sub under my seat, used both sides for maximum airspace and it sounds pretty good. It isn't near as good as the system I had in my maxima, but it sounds pretty sweet and is much better than the factory speakers. I'm running it off a soundstream 405 amp. I'm also using the factory 6x 9's and some infinity tweeters I mounted in the kick panels up front.
