It's worth the money to have it installed properly. I would stay away from CC or BB, they have the lowest skilled techs I've ever seen. I good shop will warrantie it for life as well.

Back on the heated seat questions. I know you are looking for a something that would just turn them on, but the code alarm I have will operate up to 5 different accessories if they are hooked up. I know this for sure because my parents ahve a minivan with the automatic door and they were looking into getting one, but they wanted to be able to open the door with the new remote. They said as long as they could find the wires that switch the door open and closed, then they could hook it up. Just thought I would let you know.

Everyone has their opinion but I know 4 people that have gotten remote starts put in at the CC by me and no problems. The installers really seem to know what they are doing. I went with them because if I were to sell the truck they will take it out and install in the new one free of charge. There are 100's of CC's and BB's, so im sure some are better than others.

I was digging for these on one of the links given earlier in the post and went to the CC site. Read the feedback and seems alot of people had issues with thte install but almost all liked the end result. I stopped at a Tweeters the other day and they quoted me 270 and I lose a key. Stopped at a local shop that does stereo/alarm/remote start/tiniting etc. etc. and he quoted me 280. He also said he may be able to give my key back. Seems he has a way to duplicate the chip(sometimes it works others it doesn't). Not sure how much a new key will cost but he said it would save me about $100 for the new key. Thoughts?

Got my remote off ebay from a dealer for $260 shipped and installed myself and my truck has the sentry key also. Just give your vin to the seller and it will include everything you need for your truck.

Took about 3 hrs taking my time but the install wasn't bad at all.

A new key is only about $10 on ebay, then you can program it yourself if you already have two programmed. You don't even have to have it cut if it's just for the alarm.

Not knocking you BlackTRX4, but you see, the stock one is not available to us, we're too old!! If we were talking 06 then that would be a good option.
