Default Electrical Nightmare...need help

[:@]2003 ram 1500 4.7 60,000 miles.........I'll start with this, every time I see a brick wall while driving my truck I have the Urge to accelerate into it......nothing but electrical problems!!!! I got the lemon of the Litter!!!!!

Problem: my AC fan sometimes starts blowing (air vents inside cab) after I have turned the ignition off and removed the keys . If I forget to turn thevent fanto the off position,I sometimes return to find my battery dead. On severalocasions i have been present when the vent starts blowing by itself. Inserting the key into the ignition causes the vent fan to stop blowing (note I dont have to turn the key, Just inserting it into the ignition stops the fan). Any ideas how to fix this....besides driving it into a brick wall

my advice, get rid of it. We've had cars with electrical gremlims and it just doesn't ever seem to go away. my advice is trade it and get another you just got the lemon. electrical is a wild beast to try to tame.

yeah...check powers and grounds for the ign switch.....after that then trace the wiring from the switch to the AC fan and see what modules it gets it's power and/or ground from...could have a module thats seeing a wrong value for when the key is taken out of the switch it might think the key is still in the switch....could have a bad ign switch too....

is the truck used or did you buy it new? any mods done to it? such as remote start or CD player or anything like that?
