hi all

just wanted to know if the emergency foot brake is supposed to release when the truck isput in togear or do i always have to release it by hand,

just all my other American cars have released when put in to gear and the dodge dont, stupid little things like that really p*** me off !!!

Mine doesn't release unless you yank the release lever. No pun intended........

yeah thats what i have to do ! but the other American cars i've had ( Cadillacs Chevys Pontiacs ) have all had automatic release

so why not Dodge ????????

Same reason I guess despite other MFGers have daytime running lights, but most if not all of DC's cars/trucks don't......

Same here on my '07. You have to pull the release lever. I like the caddie way though. Red

I have come to appreciate the exersize provided by releasing my emergency brake manually. I may be able to even quit the health club!

I like the fact that I have to release it manually. Sometimes I am playing with something or other that I need to put it on and have the truck in gear, but I don't want the brake to release.

kenihemi on my Cadilac if the cars in gear you can still apply the brake but when you move move the shift back to park then to drive it releases its all done on vacuum from the engine, it just a good way of not forgetting to release it ! i thought cars werecoming out the factory with more and more toys on them, Cadillac were doing this 50 years ago so would of thought more makers would use it ! but still you'd never find it on an Englishcar we've only just startedhavingair con as standardwithin the last 5 years !!!!!! so we're still 50 years behind you guys
