I love the interior space of the Mage cab, but its lack of bed space really hinders me buying one. If I were to buy a Mega cab it would undoubtly be a 3500HD so I could tow a large trailer.However, with the short bed size, it makes pulling a 5th wheel or gooseneck trailer is little more difficult. Just my $.02

 

quad cab perfect size!! mega cab too big!!! i like more bed than cab... also i dont see anyone who needs that big of a cab...

 

Hey I absolutely love my QC and I would'nt want a shorter bed. If i could have the both and somehow not have a longer truck I would be all over it. Damn the laws of physics.
Although when I was 18 I would have love the extra space in the back seat! [:@]

Yeah, definitely the QC. The Mega would be nice if I had people back there on a regular basis. Like moving a work crew around or family. I first thought they were strange looking but their starting to grow on me.One nice thing for the mega 1500 though is the solid front axle as opposed to IFS. Better for lifts, strength, etc......

 

What is the bed length on a QC?

 

QB bed length = 6'3"

I chose quad cab. I like the mega cabs but there are a few reasons i went QC. First i really dont need a bigger back seat as of now. 2. the mega cab costs more. 3 more weight.

 

mega cab bed is 6'3". i have the mega cab. i looked at mega and qc side by side and it was an easy decision. i have 2 kids in car seats. we need the space. can have the car seats and still put an adult in the back. no problems with a/c

 

QC all the way, don't hate me for what I say (mega owner's) I respect your choice but this is my opinion. If you need a family truck, get yourself a damn SUV, (Durango or grand cherokee) I just received my new 08 truck a 2500 QC long box and damn this thing looks like a truck compared to my old one 1500 QC short box. Sorry, but mega's should have never been made. Plus they look like !?!?!? Mega's should be made for women's with a damn lipstick in the ligther and , foget about it !?!?!?!?

 

traded in my qc for a mega and love it. hauling 5 or 6 full adults out to a pasture for a dove hunt can't be beat. some of u seem to think it's bed is shorter,it's bed is the same length as a qc short bed 6'3" need to haul some sheet rock? leave the tailgate down, it won't go any where. got a long bed in the back yard if needed. several places will stretch and put on a long bed if u got the cash. but i see most of u have short beds so why not go for the gold in cab space? no slower to cool down than my qc was. may even be better with thoes a/c vents run into the back. reclining back seats, feels like a limo!! nuff said?
