Default Door ding, and ricer hit my bed!

Well I waxed my truck saturday and noticed a door ding(took off the paint with a huge scratch and dent) that kinda made me mad. I buffed out the scratch for the most part. How do I get rid of the dent? take it to a body shop?

Also... Monday I was parked and some little *** ricer civic parked next to me like usual(this is at school). Just noticed last night that somebody(maybe him) when they were backing out hit the side of my truck right before the rear bumper. I WAS PISSED! Just like most of you guys, my truck means more to me than my girlfriend

So I guess I have to replace the side panel for the bed. Is there any suggestions or comments for both of these?

Thanks,
-Austin

Man, that sucks. I recently bought a brand new 2007 Dodge Ram 2500. I'm very careful on where I park to avoid door dings. If I have to walk a mile to avoid parking close to other cars, I'll do it. Hell, I've lost 15 pounds since I've bought this truck. Anyway, a month after owning the truck, I saw door ding on the front right fender. I have NO idea where that came from. Fortunately, no paint was taken off. I took it to a body shop called "ABRA" and the pulled the door ding out for $80. They did a great job because when they were done, my truck looked good as new with no sign of a ding.

When I bought my truck back in '05, I bought this dent zone protection plan with it that will fix dings up to a half dollar in size I think. Anyways Im glad I bought it because I have had 3 dings fixed already and have another one soon to be fixed. The plan cost me $200 and its good for 2 years if I remember right. Easy to use to, they send the dude out to my house and fix it, no deductible. Its suppose to be only for dings where the paint wasnt broke but if you dont tell them the guy fixing it won't either. I had one pretty major ding that I was quoted for $650 to fix at the dodge dealership that the tech fixed for me for free at my house so Im pretty happy. I just cant believe all the dang idiots out there whocant see a big black truck parked next to them and slam there door into it!!!!!

Speaking of people who park next to you and ding your truck - WHY is it that when I park way off in the corner of a lot (like Minex), some Retard has to park right next to me? when there are probably 50 other open spots not next to anyone.

Ironic this issue came up. Just saw a thing on, ummm... Zuuble I think where they heat the dent with a blow dryer for 30 seconds then immediately spay it with a upside down can of CO2 for 30 seconds. As the frost melts the fast change in temp caused the dent to pop out. I honestly don't know if it works but may be cheaper then the auto body shop.

I had a big dent in my box fixed by a body shop and refinished/repainted for 300 bucks, so that's worth looking at instead of replacing the panel, which would be over 700 bucks for the part alone if I remember right.

Some body shops do use that rapid heating and cooling technique, but be careful if you decide to do it; if not done properly you could cause more harm than good.
I stuck my step bars out as far as they could go outside of the truck to help with idiots and door dings. Any fool with a car who kicks his door open will hit the stainless steps instead of my paint, most likely chipping their door edge. Doesn't work with trucks/suv's, so I park accordingly.

Ok, it was on Youtube. Here is the link for the page that came up when I searched it. The first one is the one I was referring to. Let me know how it works, I don't think it will work on the small ones I have but if it does for you please tell me.
