I've had mine for about 15 years now, I think I paid all of $159 for it at Wally-World. Last time I actually stopped and looked at one in Wal-Mart was probably a year or two ago and they weren't much more than $200. I shoot clays, dove, everything with it, I've even cranked that adjustable choke down hard and won turkey shoots with it (although I have a custom made choke for my 870 that's almost like cheatin' in a turkey shoot). Only problem I've ever had is the safety broke about 7 years ago, $5 part, one screw and fixed. It doesn't have the heft, tight feel or finish of my 870 (My 870 is a Wingmaster Series made in the '70's - a lot better quality than the current ones) but it hasn't let me down yet!

i know a buddy who got a mossburg up at cabelas for a good deal personally im a remington guy and getting a new 870 express combo nothing like a good ol remington pump!!! i even have a remington .22 from 1929!!
