HELP!!!
I removed the chrome fender flares I had on the truck and there are lines where the edge used to be. The clearcoat is scratched obviously.. What is the best product and way to remove these deep abrasions?
depending how bad it is I would wet sand, buff with a good buffing compound, then wax. You can try and do it leaving off the wetsanding part, but this will only work for very fine surface scratches.

this is the best in the world!
if the scratch is inclear coat its White and then you can remove it with a mashine and this compound - use a littel compound and lot of water when you are rubbing it away(press light when polishing).
if the scratch is deeper, you can try with some watersandpaper 2000(ultra fine)
use water with it! and be careful not to get to deep in the coat.
after its gorne use Farécla and mashine - in the end normal polish.
then you got a new car again.

Do you know how to wet sand? It is not that hard, but can quickly become a problem if you don;t know what you are doing.
Also, I know you said that the clearcoat is scratched, but is the paint as well scratched?

Be very careful with the wet sanding. if you go just a little to deep and you will really have a headache afterwards. I would use a clay bar and good wax and just go for it. If you take your time and dont rush it you should fine.
The only wet sand i have right now is 600 grit and that's way too much. I would have to use 2000. I don't really want to wet sand it. The truck is green and the scratch is very dark. I'm not sure if it is through the paint or not. Thanks for the help. I've been thinking of taking the clay bar to it anyways, so I may see what that gets me.

Avoid the wetsand if at all possible. Dealerships put just enough clearcoat on to keep the sun from bubbling the clear coat. Taking off even the slightest bit can cause negative effects down the road....

but if it´s dark you can´t repair it - sorry but if it´s all the way down to the green colour then you can´t fix it - and dont try to sand it ..
if you can´t live with it, and it is all the way down in thegreen colour, you have to get it paintet.
thats relly annoying for you

Alternative thought:
Unless you hate the way the chrome flares protrude, why not put the effort into sanding those down (research how to get chrome prepped for paint) and have them shot with the green? Granted, I would try the wax/buff first...but if you end up spending money on having the areas repainted and blended due to the depth of the scratch damage, it may be cheaper to do the flares.
Another option is to buy aftermarket flares to cover the eye sores. Just thoughts going through my head.
Nice looking truck, and good luck.
