Yup....6k miles on it and some pr!ck suburban @$$hole decided to run a groove through the clearcoat and into the paintdown the passenger side.
Starts under the mirror and goes all the way down to the passenger rear door. Body shop quoted almost 1100.00 for paint. They said since it has pearl in it, they have to (obviously) do both doors, and the front passenger fender...otherwise, it may not blend nicely. Not too bad for painting the entire passenger-side cab I guess, but ROYALLY sux it happened. I only pray I find out who did it...
Nothing obvious pops out in my head in terms of enemies. No cameras in the area caught anything either.

Brother i feel your pain. I had that happen to me several years ago, with my other truck...wasn't a pretty sight.....And to make matters worse, i had just gotten it painted, a week earlier.....[:@]

So sorry only imagine the anger you feel. If you find out who did it whip their a$$. Also it would not be a bad idea to think about pressing charges.
I am sure later on someone may say sue and if you get a cheap lawyer (ex family member) maybe think about it otherwise they may charge more than you can recover. Just my .02

The only decent thing is thatthe scratch ison the passenger side (rather than driver side)...because everytime I see it, I get friggin' pi$$ed. I will move on, keep my ears to the ground and eyes open for any potential leads.
I hate hearing so many of you went through the same chicken-$h!t ordeal of getting keyed as well.

people sux,it's are fault we work hard to have nice things so some dirt bag drivein a peice of **** can wreck it on us because they are to lazy to do that little more so they can have something nice,pisses me off,had it done to me,2001 firebird ram air trans am ws6 5speed,400+ hp,$8500 worth of damage.still to this day i what like to kill that person.
