That is up to you and your pocketbook. Both are great setup's. I Hear plenty of good things about the standard, that is what i orderd

either way, make sure you get a stop watch with it, cause otherwise you wont know if it works.

lmao!!!

yea they are both quality good performing intakes.....

I had the TrueFlow standard on my 04, Ram 5.7. Now I have the XDI on my 07, Ram, 5.7. I like the XDI better. I noticed better performace measured by the Superchips programmer. ie 0 to 60 and 1/4 miles times. Gas milage went up 2 miles per gal on my truck. It does make a heck of a lot of noise when you put your foot in it. Sound like you have glass packs on it. I kid you not!

Hey why did you have to keep the stock air box on? I thought that was the whole purpose of having a CAI?

no not at all... the stock airbox is actually in a great location... it already takes the coldest air.... the filter is real restrictive and thats replaced and the intake tube goes directly to the throttle body no silencer or hat or nothing so theres the performance.... i have been thinkin of tinkering with the intake this spring though....

Congrats on your new air system. This weekend I was looking at a true flow XDI system. I may go with this XDI system theyvery good dyno numbers. Sounds like you made a wise choice. Again congrats on your new system.

I've read through this whole dang thread, twice I see someone say that what you have is not a cold air intake, but not once when asked did either one of them give any sort of good explination. I don;t know about ya'll but it sounds to me like thet're the DF bullies who got suckerd into paying $400 for K&N and got their butts stomped by as simple filter ant piping change. Personally I'm making my own, I'm gonna try my hand at this fabrication thing.

P.S.
If there is someone out there who has a VALID reason for not calling this a CAI, please do tell us, I'm sure we'd love to know. TD, I'll call it a CAI untill thing, nice job bro.

yea its been on the truck for almost 2 months now an I still love it...

BTW... be careful making your own intake... PVC is known to be harmful in an engine bay...
