Well today I totally got pimp slapped by Vehicle Emissions today total **** fest!!!!

So I pull in and let them plug in the OBD2 Scanner and they laughed.... They found 4 codes and it seems 3 are related and the other 1 stumps me....

P0300-Random Misfire
P0301-Cylinder 1 Misfire
P0308-Cylinder 8 Misfire

Ok I figured the previous owner never gave it a god damn tune up so I went to the "stealership" and picked up wires/cap/rotor and plugs... Hopefully this will fix it......

P0740 Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Malfuction

Now WTF is this... I heard there are two pressure solenoids in the trans and you have to drop the pan for 1 but, which is actually the correct one????? Or should I just drop the 90$ and buy both of the sensors???? I have NO idea what this is?????

Oh yeah, I also bought new Cluster Bulbs lol...........I am so pissed off with the ****ing dude who took the bulb out when he sold me the truck.

Didn't you post on here that you suckered some poor S.O.B. into buying your old 1500 a few days back, and say that you made sure those "pesky" little CEL's wouldn't come back? Oh, but you live in Arizona, that's right, what's the odds that this poor guy lives in............ Just kidding.....

But seriously, you probably have a case against him. I live in Fl. now, but have done a lot of work for city police and county law enforcement in GA. There, at least, it's called "theft by deception". If you wanted to you could probably pursue it.

 

Gave my 1500 back to the dealer I got it from. Then took the 2500 off there hands. I have been getting a itch for a dually however. I am so tempted but will have to find a 5.9 or will not do it.

 

5.9's getting scarce around Fl. 3 dealerships within about 16 miles of me. Went shopping with my mom for a caravan about two weeks ago, was 2 CTD's at one, only one at another, and about a half dozen at the third (much bigger dealer) and ALL were 6.7's.
I almost pulled the trigger on a new '06 about a year and a half ago, before I did any major mods to my Hemi, sorry I didn't do it now, but now I got so much in it in mods, I'd lose my ***. Plus I'm like you, I would rather have the 5.9. Maybe in a year or two, when I've gotten some use out of all my mods, and they get the 6.7 perfect, I'll pull the trigger.
BTW - ended up getting mom an '08 Grand Caravan (we need a van to get my step-dad in & out of) but it kicks ***, great stereo with a 20 GB HDD to store music, pix, etc. AND that new 4.0 V6 has got some *****! Somewhere around 260 HP I think, anyway, Friday I take it up to the pharmacy to get their weekly dozen or so prescriptions, when so Tattoo'd punk in a Civic with his girlfriend is "revving" at a stop light. So I hit it when it went green & he hit it. I had him toasted when he gave up & let off the gas.
That minivan is a real sleeper..... All those horses wrapped in that soccer mom body!!!

 

The ****ty part is, is that i took out a ****ing loan to buy this truck but now I have all these issues on my hands. So do any of you have any info for me on the trans?

It goes into gear weird, I guess I should have noticed. I found that it will sometimes stay in neutral and not iluminate drive but when I move kind of jiggle the gear selector it will illuminate and go into gear I am not sure wtf i got myself into.

I don't know too much about transmissions except basic service and clutch work. Sorry. I would have it checked by a competent shop most will check it for free (transmission shops) then go tell the sob you bought it from he better fix it or your atty will contact him and make sure you get a rental from him in the meantime.

 

Yea, I'm pretty sure you got a case for theft by deception there. Only tough thing is you have to prove within reasonable doubt that HE took the bulb out.

 

Yeah, I will find out more tomorrow when I drop the truck at the shop for eval.
