Default bearings bad?

There is a sort of grinding rubbing sound that seems to be coming from my left front tire. How do I know if the bearings are bad. Also the sound only appeared short after the truck was regeared. Could the gears be not meshing right or could they have put something back together wrong?

Did they replace all the bearing seals when you did the gears.

Is you's straight axles or independent front end.

I know it's a stupid question, but you did have the front re-geared at the same time you did the rear right? My suggestion is jack up the front and spin the wheel, see what you can hear.
