Default 2007 2008 mds hemi exhaust????

YES, i did the search! there are varying accounts, but mostly on NON-mds vehicles. i just bought a 2008 hemi and i am pretty sure that all 08 hemi's have mds. i have heard concerns about the exhaust sounding like crap when the mds kicks in. i dont plan to remove any resonators. i would ideally like to have a single-in / dual-out muffler put on that dumps in front of the passenger rear wheel. which muffler would do this and not sound like crap when the mds kicks in? right now, all you can hear from the truck is air rushing in under the hood. it is a freeking crime against humanity to choke off an engine like that! my last truck was a 97 5.9L ram and all i did was have a single in/single out flowmaster 40 series put in place of the stock muffler and it sounded pretty good. inexpensive too! for this one, i would not mind it being a little louder though. please advise, and please keep it confined to people who have experience with exhaust on mds equipped vehicles. also, please keep in mind that i did the search and it was mostly answers from 6 months ago and not involving the new mds.
thanks guys! oh, and by the way -does an aftermarket cold air intake void the factory warranty?

I have an 07 Hemi with the MDS, and so far all I have is a Flowmaster Super 40 weld-in on my exhaust and the resonators removed, and I think it sounds pretty good. It could be louder, but thats a personal preference, everyone I know says its loud enough, but what do they know. I don't really notice the MDS except on the freeway and even then it doesn't bother me that much.

I have an 06 MDS.

Magnaflow and no resonators. Stock cat. I think it sounds great. Good tone. Not too loud. doesn't resonate. Sounds fine in mds. I was really worried too, and after hearing this setup it is what i went with.

I really want it a little louder, but i tow so i dont know if iwill make that jump. I wanna put cherry bomb extremes, but i think i would go deaf towing.

are the cherry bomb extres glass packs? if so, are they tubes or regular shaped mufflers? also, what is involved with removing the resonators? does removing the resonators void the warranty in any way?

i just looked online. i bet those things are super loud! looks cool and they are sold at my local meineke shop. i wonder if i coulc remove the resonators, and just put a single cherry bomb extreme in? guys -what do you think? also, i really need to know what is up with the resonators. do i need replacement pipe for the space where the resonators were originally? i think i will have the shop do all of it. so what is up?

Removing the resonators didn't void my warranty. Have the muffler shop do it, it was cheap. like 35 or 50 to remove both. Yes they have to weld in new sections of pipe. It will work fine, no problems. But if you can afford it, i would have all new pipe. put in from the 1st resonator back, and your muffler welded to it. just personal preferance though, just less places for your pipe to break.

I have an 06' 5.7 with MDS. I took the truck in and the exhaust shop cut out both resonators and the muffler, replaced them with same size tubing and a Flowmaster Super 40. I love the sound, really let's you know when you get on it and it is funny seeing the face of the kid in the rice burner next to you at a light when you leave him sitting in your fumes and noise.
I cannot 100% tell you I know what the "droan" from the MDS sounds like. I believe I know but around town I leave the vehicle in OD off or towing so I don't notice it much. When on the highway I believe I hear it. I don't think the droan is annoying, kind of sounds like overdrive finds and extra gear, I believe the on and off factor are annoying.
I haven't dealt with the cherry bombs since I was in high school. I backed my Pontiac Catalina into a dirt embankment and the back pressure blew the stock muffler. I had minimal money and put a cherry bomb on it, LOL!!!! It was a beast.

Had Cherry Bomb on a '73 Nova 4bbl. I had in the early/mid '80s. Great sound, but I think I'm gonna stay with my setup, at least till it rots out on me. The Flowmaster 40 w/o resonators and LT Headers give me all the sound I want. I already have to crank the stereo to hear it.

Here's a clip of my Cherry Bomb Extreme, the MDS doesn't sound too bad, I only let it kick in on the highway and I just put it in Tow/Haul or OD off around town
