Have had no issues to date with my '04 Hemi QC 4x4. Although I am expecting my EGR valve to go anytime as I am past the time that everyone else has had to replace theirs at.
The engine is bullet proof, if Dodge has an achilles heel it's the automatic trannies. They have a poor reputation, that said, however, I had a '98 that I traded in with 68,000 miles and my current '04 has just under 38,000 and neither have had even a hint of tranny trouble.
My cousin has a '96 that was about to hit 160,000 last I was up at the Ga. farm in March and he beats that truck (but he is good about fluid changes all around). Had his tranny rebuilt under warranty at about 60,000 miles and so far since that repair has worked flawlessly for what I am sure is over 100,000 miles now.

The front rotors are junk.

IMO that is a little high on the mileage for me. It all depends on how the truck was treated and maintained. I bought my 03 in May and it only had 31k on it.

my 04 QC had 49'000 on it when i got it and it still running strong with the superchips 3815 performance setting. no issues with the brakes or anything guess rotor problems are down to how you drive mine is only a 4x2 and the tranny is holding up well and so is rear end when i looked last weekend when i did the rear dif oil change no problems with my c-clips in there yet if you get it make sure you geta goodoil change all round the dif if its got lsd that the main thing you will have to keep andeye on and a few have drive shaft failersbut hemiyellowknows moreon that then i do just something else im keeping an eye on takeing mine in the tranny shop in the next few weeks so i can get it flushed out and and that guess i just like to look after things but there no problems with it just want the fluid changed out

It ALL depends on the price! If that '04 with 100k+ miles is a third the price as someone else's '04 with 40k miles and you have no problems with that high mileage it could be a GREAT deal.
If' it's only a couple thousand less than that '04 with less than half the mileage, well 'nuff said....

i have 75k on my '04 5.7 hemi. The problems i've had are:

1. 2 broken studs on the passenger side exhaust manifold
2. My EGR valve failed about a week ago
3. The c-clips in my rear end blew apart towing a 6500lb trailer 300 miles from atlanta

aside from that the only major problem i know about has been the automatic tranny's and from what i heard they were supposed to have that fixed by 04, and i haven't had a bit of trouble with mine. Id like to throw in that I love my truck and i take very good care of it, but i by no means baby it, they'll take just about anything that you throw at them
