I have an '07 1500 QC 4x2 w/ 5.7 Hemi, I just turned 7000 miles and it's started to idle a little bit rough at traffic lights, and stop signs and such. Tach doesn't show any variation, but you can feel it. I thought it was bad gas but we're on tank #3 from 3 different stationsnow and it still does it. Any experience with this?
Thanks!
I noticed the same thing I only have 5000 km on my 5.7 and there is no movement in the tach but it seems to run a little different now . maybe that is the way they are suppose to run going through there break in period ??
i know a couple of these guys had vibration problems but they were at higher speeds... they needed a pcm flash or something.... talk to your dealer your still under warranty!!
Mine idles a little rough after it's warmed up at lights and stop signs also. It's not bad, just seems like it doesn't idle high enough a bogs a little bit. I really didn't notice it until I put aftermarket exhaust though...
My 06 has the exact same problem. I'm only at 21K miles. Dealer gives me no help, they just tell me its normal. I've tried a complete fuel system cleaner and no different. I hope that as stated above, maybe it needs to be flashed? I'm traveling to another dealer for a 2nd opinion.
There seems to be numerous postings of various gremlins in the 06' and 07' 1500 MDS Rams; are they really that touchy? I have been very pleased with the 05' Hemi Ram but Ihave major concerns about future newer purchases.
This subject came upin another forum. Aparrently somebody contacted a chrysler engineer and he said to fill it up with 87 octane fuel and it should help.
