Default AWESOME 4.7L Mod

I saw the info about the Power Wire yesterday and went after work to pick one up. It works great!! I also purchased the Jet Stream Scoop. ($100 for both) I noticed better response and better gas mileage. I would highly recomend this Mod.... Nick was even nice enough to install the parts and explained everything about the parts.. Great Service!!!

I read some info on the Power Wire last week and was impressed by it. My main concern is will it have any detremental effectects in the long run. Iread it is suppose to trick the "signal to your PCM making it think the intake air temperature is 20 degrees cooler than the actual temperature at "ALL TIMES". This timing advance is worth approximately 8-10RWHP."

Will this trick in temperature over a period of time harm anything? I'm not up todate on this new generation stuff and probably dont understand the concept of it all but I just dont want to damage anything on my baby :-)

One more thing, will the jet stream scoop make any difference on stock air intakes?

From what I have heard it will not harm the truck. I'm not to sure if the scoop will help a stock intake since the stock intake is so restrictive but it couldn't hurt to get cooler air directied to the intake. I have a K&N CAI and I can tell the difference on the highway...

Yeah tricking the PCM that little won't hurt anything, a mod thats supposed to help pretty well for the $ is a fastman TB you can check it out at http://www.thefastman.com/ Dan is really good about tellin you what you need to know. Supposibly the factory TB is smaller than 68 he can tell you and he'll recommend a good size to go with your mods, he told me that it was good for around 15hp gain but I traded in my truck for a Cummins before I got around to doin this mod.

If you have any ?s about some mods PM me I'll help ya as much as possible or try to direct you to someone that can help you better, Air Ram is real smart when it comes to the 4.7 he drives one and trys alot of different set-ups on it so he can tell you how it "really" works not just what complanies claim.

my 4.56 gears were a great mod. Made a huge difference in acceleration and doesn't affect mpg much if you don't get excited.

Now for the guys who dont live in Texas, how easy would the installation of both the power wire and the scoop be onto a factory engine? I am eventually looking to buying the Airram cold air induction system....but thats a little ways down.

This is a 'trolling for suckers' post.

Chrysler has just finished spending many millions of dollars redesigning the 4.7 V8.

Twin sparkplugs, lower internal engine friction, & new cylinder head port profile just part of the changes leading to 30% more horsepower and 5% better fuel economy.

Did Chrysler add a 'slip-my-brain scoop' or a 37 cent resistor "Powerwire" to the IAT wires?
No.

before wasting your money
study the new 4.7 showing up in the Dakotas
and the Toyota 5.7 V8
and others like the BMW V10 or Nissan twin intake 3.5L V6

Want your engine to 'breathe better'
...then port the cylinder head intake ports and polish the exhaust ports
either yourself or get a pro to do it as you watch....like at KRC or Shady Dell Speed Shop or RevSearch out west.

Well this sucker got a few more HP out of these mods and can see a difference in gas mileage as well as the truck shifting better... I would spend another $100 to get the same results....

Signed,
Happy Sucker!!
