Michelin or Bridgestone tires??
Time to replace these worn out Goodyear tires on my 04 4X4. I have been looking at either the Michelin LTX AT2 or the Bridgestone Revo tires. Either one will be a LT265 70 17 load range 'E' tire. Can anybody recomend either of these tires over the other? The price is pretty close on both of them and I would like any input from people running these before I make my decision.

Bridgestone Revos were extremely nice on my last truck. If they made them in 20s they'd be on this truck. Check out the reviews on the Tire Rack site - they're the highest rated of that style tire.
I have a set of the bridgestone Dueler revo's on my 2003 QC 4x4 offroad and love them. They are 285 / 70 / 17 and ride extremely well and are very quiet on the highway. I have had them in the sand, mud and rocks in a creek and went anywhere i wanted to go. This will be the first winter with them and i am waiting to see how they do in the snow and ice.

My truck had Bridgestone Alenza 265/70x17s on it when I bought it in August. They have good grip, they're quiet, and they have a treadwear rating of 600. I like Michelin tires, but they're viciously expensive. He's strictly a pavement prowler. The only off-road is when I have to go onto the shoulder to get by some genius who can't figure out how to make a left turn.

It depends on what you're looking for. If you want heavy duty offroading, that's not your tire. If you want a tire that can handle typical "truck" usage that doesn't make noise on the highway, it's the choice for you. Good handling, acceleration, and braking performance with far more ability than a SUV-type tire.
My old 92 GMC 4x4:

It handled everything I threw at it, including towing. There's a reason those tires are ranked #1.
