Lift for 07 Ram 1500

HammerZ71, do you have any idea what size backspacing is required to run a 35" tire with a 4" lift? I have searched and searched to no avail. Is this something a regular tire store could figure out for me, or would I need to go to a 4x4 shop? I don't know of any 4x4 shops around here (Fayetteville, GA)...your post says you ride off road up in Ga...where abouts are you at in GA, or do you just go off roading here? Know of any good competent shops? I'm looking at the CST 4" spindle kit, by the way... Thanks.
Oh yeah, my truck is a 1500 2wd, 2007

About your truck, I don't know what the minimum specs would be, but my 4" suspension lift easily clears 35" tires during some pretty good off roading with 4.5" backspacing and -12mm offset.
I have an '04 4x4 with a torsion bar setup so there are going to be differences.
hey guys. i just had my 2007 dodge ram 1500 big horn edition4x4 5.7L hemi with stock 20" rims lifted at 4 wheel parts store. it has the only 6" pro-comp suspention lift kit that fits the 07 1500 4x4 with 35" toyo open country mud terrians and 18" pro-comp 6005 series rims. it looks so sweet. and very quite on the highway/roads. here are some pics. If you are looking for great deals on truck accoriess or lift kits/tires/rims, go to www.4wheelparts.com. they have several stores also troughout the USA to install anything you buy from them. to do the tires, lift, rims, and insatllation, it only cost around $5,500...pretty cheap to have it done the right and fast way!

I want to get rid of my 20" as soon as I can. For one 18" are a more simple size wheel to find tires for, second the more sidewall you have when you are doing "true" offroading the better off you will be. You need bite on more than just surface tread, the sidewalls have to have a good area to bite with so you can pull yourself out of some of the nasty ruts. With 20" you just cant get a good amount of sidewall before you run into the wheel its self and what is more sickining than messing up a nice set of wheels because you scraped them or hit a curb. Now for the people who dont do any 4-wheelin its not a big issue and they go more for the look than the function, me I am going for the function. Does anyone know if there is a solid axle swap for the 06 1500???

why would you want to go from factory 20's down to 18's?

I've got a 2006 and I'm looking for front springs only that will give me2 - 2.5 inches of lift. I DO NOT want to use the push down style method. It will never see any real off road use , just deep snow. Stock springs are just two weak and I think one is abit tired. If you've heard of any plz let me know.
