Default 4x4 question

I don't think this is normal for my 06 2500 4x4.

when turning, the front wheals are binding, this is not a smooth operation when turning, but works fine in a stright line,I'm not using 4x4 on pavement only ice and snow, and off road in tight places..

Could the front U joint/drive shaft cause this or is this par for the course ?

In 2 wh drive the front wheals are ok, no bonding, when in 4 hi, turning left or right
m the front wheals feel like thier binding ( not driving, or turning, like driving with the E brake on )
in a stright line in 4 hi all works fine

This is the first time I have used the 4x4 on my 2500 Ram, it haselectronic shift 4x4, I'm not using 4wd on pavement.

on 1500 ram 4x4 and the fords I used to own, shift and away you go, I don't know if the solid axel is more picky than CV joints, in tight spaces, or turning sharply....

well you shouldn't be turning sharply in 4x4 anyway good way to hurt things. It will always do it. my jeep tj will hop and buck like you wouldn't believe. solid axles are way more pickier but they are almost indestructable unlike IFS

I agree with the consensus here. It's perfectly normal for a 4x4 to buck & bind a little while turning, the sharper the turn, the more noticeable it is...
