Most places that do lifts either do gears there too, or sub the gear work to a good shop, since gears and bigger tires go hand in hand. That is where I would start...

I agree with the others, go to 4.56's....I've heard that you may or may not need a master install kit, to avoid more downtime, etc. in my opinion it's easier just to get it along with the gears. You can buy the gears right at allot of quality shops, just shop around first so you know they aren't jerking you around in price. I got my Yukon's at http://www.ringpinion.com - they are a pretty popular site and I later found out where the shop I had the work done orders their gears from as well.

4 Wheel Parts, Randy's Ring & Pinion, Moe's Performance, Air Ram are all good places with good reputations...

Us 4x4 (1500) guys have a Chrysler 9.25" rear and a Chrysler 8" front. You only have the rear end driveshaft, so any gear set built for a 9.25" Chrysler rear axle will work for you.

I put a 6" Fabtech in my 1500 with 35*12.50*20 tires/wheels and i have noticed an extreme differnce in my performance, very sluggish. i have priced out 4.56 for my truck which is a 4*4 and I was quoted about $1700 for the entire job. Have not done it yet due to price but really really want to. good luck

You can do better, I got my 4.56's front & back, master install kit, AND Auburn Gear High Performance Series LSD for just over $1400 with installation and tax.

One of the only mods to my truck that I was "chicken" to try to tackle myself...
