Default RE: Oil

I would pay a little more than go to Walmart. Down with Walmart. I would not trust any thing from Walmart since they stock like 99% from China and what Good has any thing came from China but Recalling the Crap that they Make!

I use Pennzoil Platinum and Hasting oil filter.

I thought I had tossed in my $0.02, but apparently not. Pennzoil dead lizards in all vehicles: 5W-20 regular in the 300C, and 5W-30 Hi Mileage in the Ram and the Camry.

Castrol GTX 10W-30 and WIX in my '04 Ram 4.7L, with a hint of Lucas Oil Synthetic. Anybody that I know that has any kind of an opinion about motor oil around here says Castrol is the least sludgy.

I stick with the factory filter I would not put a wix filter on on a lawn mower let alone my ride

When I do my first oil change, I am wondering if I can do it myself rather than the dealer. Will that void the lifetime warranty? The dealer uses Castrol. I want to use synthetic and a good filter. I am guessing they use a Mopar filter? Who makes those?

I am not that worried about Castrol (I have used that in my Honda and it has 230K miles on it), but would like to take special care with my new rig and use Royal Purple.
