Clearance Lights
I never really thought about getting clearance lights for my truck but yesterday or the day before tdmopar posted pics of his and it looked damn good - then today I saw a silver 3/4 ton with the black Recon clearance lights andthey look even better in person. So - I am nowgoing to add them to my list - my question is - what kind of a shop can do the install - who should I start calling? I won't due it because it deal with electric stuff and cutting hole in my roof - bad things would happen if I tried to do it. So -offroad install shop- dealership( I am not big on them doing work on my truck unless warranty).
thanks

RE: Clearance Lights
That butthole only got them 'cause I did...
He did do a great write up on his install though (after PM'ing me a zillion times). You REALLY want to do this install yourself. It's not hard, requires no special tools and will save you hundreds on the install. The Recon light kit is cheap at like $69, so why pay a couple hundred minimum to have them installed.
Search for his write-up or I'm sure he will give you a link to it...

Then call me a butthole cause I'm gettin em to!
Oh I saw the write up - and after reading through it - I knew this was something that was out of my realm - I am not mechanically inclined at all and when I try to act like I am - I break stuff - I am not getting them now but will in the future- gears are in mynear future but I want to have a plan.

RE: Clearance Lights
ive done it. pull the headliner down, they are places already marked from the factory. the ones i got from advance had rubber gaskets, drill a small hole and run the wire down into the cab. then pull your headlight switch out and wire them into it. works great for me.

RE: Clearance Lights
Chongo,
Really, do this mod yourself, you'll be a whole lot prouder of it than if you pay to have it done. If you can operate a drill and connect wires you can do it. If you are really nervous about drilling your hood, PM me your address and I'll lay a piece of paper on my roof and trace out where the lights are and mail it to you, so you can use it as a template if you need to.
Once you get past the idea of drilling into your roof, this really is a simple install.
And Hanson, you might as well copy me and get a set too, I'm sure if you have trouble installing them, Kayla can do it, she already does everything else better than you anyway...
