Dodge V6 vs. others
My 6 speed has the 3.55's. So far I have an intake, anda powerwire. I just added the intake and a tonneau so I'm checking my mileage and should have numbers once I run my tank down more. The tonneau is a rollup so that I could keep it lightweight. The intake I thought I got was supposed to hook straight to the throttle body but once I got it I realized that it was supposed to go onto the stupid air box. So I did some custom work and got it on the throttlebody. Maid a pretty decent difference in trottle response as the truck picks up quicker.
I hear many people talking about the powerwire upgrade. What is it? Have a link? Just orderd a jet 1 chip in hopes of seeing 10% or so better fuel milage. Orriginal air filter is at 18,000 miles, so a K&N drop in is coming real soon. May try that IMCO muffler instead of the Borola. Lots cheaper!
I picked up my IMCO from the muffler shop who did my Magnaflow he cut me a good deal he keeped the Maganflow.
I been trying to find someone that has put 410 gears in there truck to see if it was worth it I dont want to lose my butt by trade the truck in then I dont want to dump $700.00 in to the truck for gears If it is also waste of money.
We see wehat happens if I keep this truck or not but someone has done gears it ones of these truck just got find out Who.
I would like to put a 5 inch lift 33 inch tires gears and keep the truck but thats at least $4500.00 bucks thats good chunk of change to be wasting if the truck still undered power after doing all that.
The gear set for that type of set up is 456 to low for stock tires you need to put some taller tires on the truck to make it work 410 for stock size tires.

3things......
marv what exactly did your magnaflow, and was it dual or single??? and anyone online were i can buy the imco??
and to the guy above....yes you can get alot of guts out of it. the thing about this engine is the lack of torque, but once you get into the powerband, it pulls hard. at least mine does. the higher it climbs on the tach the harder it pulls. sorta feels like vtech. lol. jk

20 inch long 3 inch in 3 inch out it sounds like a v-8 at ldle very nice rummble inside of cab of truck you can here it outside also sounds very good. about the same type of rummble though the completeRPMrange sounds good at HWY speeds not like a maganaflow that gives you go deaf when your foot in the gas oh yea thats the 3.7 you'r foot is in it most of the time anyways.
I think the Manaflow would be good hook to a V-8 where you foot notto the floorit as much. The good thing about the IMCO no rice bunner sound just nice V-8 type rummble though out.
THE IMCO IS A STOCK TYPE OF MUFFLER, I pick up my low end once I put the Imco on the truck.
If I were to trade this truck in for a V-8 type truck I would think I would put IMCO'S on the new truck I very happy with this muffler, not real loud nice sound.
