Anyone else use GPS? if so how did you mount it. Mine came with a window mount but it is short, so that puts it, approx. 1.5 miles from my seat . Just curious. i need an extended moutn, or a more permanent solution

And just an FYI, i just got a Magellan at costco for 179. spec. edition sold only there. its great. deleted maps of mexico and added text to speech. if your interesed (i dont work for them, promise)

if you look on the dash of the top picture you can see the gps mount on the dash right above the radio- barely - but I bought the Garmin C330 from Walmart and it came with a windshield mount and also a round peice that sticks to your dash then you mount the suction cup to it - I have had it up there for 1 week now and it has stayed up fine - it is in perfect view and I can reach it easy.

Just mount the disk and I just licked the suction cup - don;t slobber on it - and it should hold without a problem

Someone on the CorvetteForum used the bottom half of a bottle, mounted the suction adaptor to it and stuck that in the cup holder. Used the suction mount on the GPS to attach to the hand-made mount.

The GPS unit isn't there, but you can see the window mount, that's where I keep my digiwalker, it's within reach, and never have problems seeing or hearing it...

I mount mine on the L side of the windshield, next to the cab pillar. I use the suction cup it came with. Normally it would be an issue if you have to have it plugged in. However, the battery on mine lasts for quite some time so I dont need to do that.
