Factory Top Speed Setting
What's the factory setting speed to cut off acceleration? I did a little run today on a good stretch of road, and I finally stopped it at 115 b/c I was running out of road. Now I've read on here it should stop you at 106 right??? Well I was well beyond that, GPS verified 115, and was just curious as to why my truck is different?
It was weird, before I punched it I figured she was going to back down around the 105 mark, but this just wasn't the case, and surprisingly this truck handles very well at that speed. Mine was smooth as silk, no shakes or shimmys. I'm not sure if mine actually cut off at 115 or not, I let off the gas at that speed b/c I was coming up to a fairly sharp curve and had to slow down. It definantly felt like she had more to give though... However, I'm not much of an adrenaline junkie, I don't see myself getting her up that high again, just wanted to know she could do it...
Maybe it varies with the different tires the trucks come with...kinda like my Z28. If it came with Z rated tires the limiter was set at 155ish...if not it was around 120.

Thats weird cause my friends 07 RC hemi top speed islimited to only 107mph. So I'm guessing Dodge sets the speed limiter depending on what your tire's speed rating is at. Thats the only reason I can think of whythey would do that.
