Dash disassembly for 2007 center console truck
Since I was unable to find anyone who has taken apart the dash of one of these trucks with the center console and bucket seats I managed to tear it all apart without instructions and document everything for all others to refer to.
Here is a pic of the center console in the truck.
First step is to lift out the cupholder portion of the console. It is all just pop-clips holding it in. Simply lift up and it will pop right out. The last three clips by the rear-most section of the unit are stubborn. I used a butter knife to work them out. Here is a pic of the cup-holder section removed and the opening it reveals.
Next is to remove the Frame assembly that holds the cup-holder portion in. There are three bolts that hold this in. They are 8mm, and it will require at least a 3" extension to access the front bolt. Here is a picture of the front bolt and the frame removed.

The next step is to remove the two bolts holding the bottom trim piece on the dash assembly. They are 8mm bolts. Here is a pic of the bolts and the part removed. The trim piece just pulls off when the bolts are removed.
The next step is to remove the next dash trim piece. It is secured also by the two bolts that were removed in the previous step. This trim piece needs to be slid down to remove it. I just used a butter knife to slide it down. Here is a pic showing the butter knife sliding the trim piece down and a pic of it gone.

Next step is to remove the two screws that hold in the dash piece. These are #2 phillips head or 7mm screw/bolts. They are not visible unless you use a mirror. You can feel for them too if you don't have a mirror. Here are pics of them.
Next step is to remove the dash piece. Once the two screws are removed from the bottom, the dash will just pull right off. Simply start pulling in one area that you can and work your way around. I used the trusty butter knife again to work one corner and then just went all the way around until it popped off. You will just need to pull the gear selector forward, you shouldn't have to shift out of park. Here is a pic of it removed.
After that I just changed my radio with another unit. To my surprise, the Sirius ID is actually built into a unit that is remotely mounted within the vehicle so by changing radios I did not have to call sirius to change anything, just swap and go.
While I was here, I also put in a bracketron bracket to hold my GPS unit. It is the semi-universal unit that mounts above the dash. The unit itself is pretty nice. I have seen better and I have seen worse. I simply drilled two holes and mounted it with the hardware provided.
Regarding the GPS placement, I really like it. It is close enough that I can access it whenever, yet not in any visible paths. Unfortunately I don't have any pics with the GPS unit attached yet. I will add those as soon as I get out to the car tomorrow.
