I totally agree. I wouldn't trade my '03, that in my opinion looks better and will do everything a Rumble Bee will do truck wise for one. Especially considering my truck is a 4x4, Short Bed, Regular Cab, HEMI, but with 17" tires instead of 20". And mine stickered for $6k less than a 4x4 Rumble Bee. OVERPRICED!

They look nice, but it's a shame that it's all show with no extra go.[sm=sigh.gif]

Sweet looking trucks! Just beat up a dealer at their "end of year/no BULL/get rid of everything that says 04/we're giving them away" sale and you should be able to get that sticker price down to a nice reasonable number! (If they aren't already gone yet!) Now they just need to up the ante on power and make a QC Rumble Bee and there will be a line out the door....

The only thing you gain with the rumble bee, beside the fact that it turns alot of heads and the girls think it's "pretty", is the fact that it is limited production. 3700 for 2004, mine is #3673. I'm not sure of the 2005 prod. numbers for the "second swarm" but it will most likely be higher. Also if you can still find an 04 you can get a pretty good deal on it. I paid less than $23,000 for mine.

I didn't buy mine because it's pretty or cute either. To say the "Hemi" is badass is pushing it though. Before you go sending in your hate mail let me explain. I'm not knocking your truck in any way, I'm just tired of all the Hemi Hype. The HP and TQ numbers are impressive for a production vehice, if it didn't tip the scales at 5000+ Lbs. The truck pulls strong on the bottom, but flattens out in the middle and top end. The factory set speed limiter is a joke, mine tops out at 105-108 Mph. My Dakota R/T would eat it for lunch. However, the 5.7 does have alot of potential. I've talked to a handfull of people in the performance business and they all say pretty much the same thing, once somebody finds a way around the computer the true potential will come out. According to my research the intake, heads, ignition, fuel system, and exhaust will all support Hp numbers in the high 500's right from the factory. That leaves one element holding us back. So I didn't buy mine because it's badass, but because it will be.

There were a limited production of 2004 YELLOW Quad Cab 1500s, the Rumble Bee's were built at St Louis. Some of the Yellow Quad Cabs had the MOPAR Appearance package on them. As for 2005 YELLOW 1500s, there are a select few of YELLLOW NON-Rumble Bee Regular Cabs, Even fewer YELLOW 2005 HD Quads, they ran YELLOW paint at Saltillo to paint the 2005 SRT-10 Yellow Fever SRT-10, Regular Cab and Quad Cab

Compare Apples to Apples. For what the HEMI is, and what vehicle it's in, it is very Impressive in my opinion. I've driven a Ram SRT-10 on a 75 mile drive, and i"m more impressed w/my HEMI, then I was the SRT-10. In my opinion you can't compare a Ram Hemi to a Dakota R/T. The weight will make up for the HP difference. I work at a dealer and have a 03 Dakota Stampede Regular Cab 4x2 w/the 4.7L V8 currently on the lot and I bet it could beat my HEMI in a race.
