Does anyone know how wide of a tire you can put on an 06 Ram that has the independant front suspension???? I have installed the 2.5 leveling kit from top gun customz, but that top A arm still doesnt give me a lot of room to play with.. My truck came out factory with 20" wheels but im takin those off and goin with a 17" wheel with all terrain tires.....
Well the wheels im getting are 17x9 with a 4.5 backspacing and -12 offset..... I would to fit 12.5's under it just dont know if they will clear that arm...
I had 33x12.5x17's with no problem whatsoever on my '04 with absolutely no lift. 35x12.5x17 now with 4" suspension lift with Mickey Thompson rims of the exact same specs. Although the T-Bar front ends have more room than the coil overs you should be OK.
Well thanks for the info..... I guess i'll just have to see when the time gets here... These independant front ends suck...lol
Man, I agree 100%! When I bought mine it was gonna be my daily driver as well as my hunting & fishing truck, the heaviest thing I would be towing was going to be my 2300 lb. bass boat. So I opted for the nice, leather, plush interior of the Laramie pkg. over a more work truck interior 2500 that was on the lot for about the same money. As I now have another daily driver and this truck is now for weekend fun, I wish I not only bought a 2500, but spent the extra $ on a CTD. I have so much of my time and $ invested in this one now, I'd lose my *** getting rid of it for a 3/4 ton with solid front axle.
