Default Backspacing on 07 Ram With ProComp Lift

I installed the 6" ProComp Lift with adjustable rear struts on my 07 Dodge Ram 1500. When I went to put on the front wheels, it was hitting the control arm that came with the kit. I am using 20" KMC Rockstars 12.50 Wide. I need to know what backspacing I need to run wheels on this lift.

Could I use spacers?

I have stocks on there now and they just fit, with 3/4 of an inch to spare. So should I get two of the same wheels with the same offset as the stock 20's as they fit?

What is the stock 20" rims' offset?

Sorry so many questions, just need to get these on.

Also, anybody know of a good ailignment shop near Jamison/Doylestown/Warminster area of PA???

PLEASE HELP!???

If not, I have 20" KMC Rockstars for sale, Black in color. If I cant use them it is because of the lift, they fit when stock suspension was on.

THANKS!

Also, I am new to the boards so HELLO all!

I believe the back spacing on my Pro Comp Black Knights is 4 5/8". Mind you this is on a '06 but I believe it is the same. I don't have any rubbing issues.

Rat boy,
You are not alone in this. Everyone with the newer coil over front end 4x4's are having the same clearance issues with 20" rims. Spacers should do the trick, but don't cheap out here, I have heard some horror stories about lower quality spacers. Also be aware that if you take it to the dealer for any type of front end, alignment, death wobble, handling, etc. issues, they will blame it on the spacers in a second, as EVERY manufacturer advises against them.

A better, although a lot more expensive, solution would be to get rid of the 20s and get you some nice 17" wheels and tires. The 17's don't have much of a clearance issue unless it has like zero offset and backspace, and will handle tons better off road than 20s. 20s really look nice and a set of low profile ones handle great on pavement, especially on sports cars, but they are way out of there element off road, unless your talking about 20s on a crazy lifted truck with 38" plus meats on them...

Thanks for the info Hammer.

My problem is I have a set of brand new Toyo Open Country M/T 37's already mounted on 20" black KMC Rockstars. The setup looks killer and the price was damn near FREE!!!!!!!

You can never go wrong when little or no money has been spent.

But I want to be able run these as it looks great. I just need to find the right size spacer and not a cheap set as stated.

Unless I can mount these tires to my stock 20's after they get powdercoated....HMMMM

Would this work?

37's on a IFS truck AND wheel spacers makes for a really iffy front end. I hope this is gonna be a kinda "for looks" truck, because if you are gonna do any kind of heavy wheelin', you are gonna break stuff and possibly get hurt...
