i have seen for other vehicles an underdrive pulley system that claims to increase horsepower. i have been unable to find a setup for the hemi. is there such a thing. i have an 06 by the way. if there is, where can i find? is it worth the $$?

I searched this topic about 6months ago. I got some negative feedback..."not worth it". Never heard anything else and dismissed the idea. You have peaked my interest, again. Anyone with a "positive" experience with underdrive pulleys?

It does not increase horsepower, rather it frees it up - I know alot of the C5 Vette guys make a set of pulleys their first mod - cheap and gives up 6-12 RWHP consistently - but I am not sure about pulleys on the HEMI

I ordered a pulley for my truck, but I've got the 4.7. My girl has a kit on her stang. It helps the stang spool up faster. I won't be able to install mine for a few more weeks. When I get out of the sand box.

The underdrive pulleys are bad news for the Hemi, they fry toner rings. Not sure for the 4.7 though.

Tafet, hope you make it home ok. [sm=usa.gif]

I think we need o clarify this issue. MOTOBLUE pulleys are the ones that will grenade your toner ring.

ATI on the other hand makes a 5% underdrive, useful for dampening high rpm vibes, but it is only a 5%.

Yeah $400 is a little rediculous for this kind of gain anyways.

I agree, but most guys that are buying these are looking for more drivetrain stability rather than gains.
