86 CJ7 With '04 Hemi -Need help installing Tach
Ok, Heres the deal. I put a hemi out of an 04 Ram into my 86 Jeep CJ7. It is up and running. I am trying to install a tach in it but the problem is most aftermarket tachs are designed to read all of thecylinders ignition signals and then dive that by the number of cylinders. But the hemi has a coil for each cylinder and most tachs only are selectable for 4, 6 or 8 cylinders. Even if I select 4, it will be 1/4 the actual RPM. Any suggestions? I can make it work but I dont want so spend an arm and a leg to get it to work.
