Default Anyone ever got a rock in the brakes?

Drove truck a week or so ago. Had alot of rain/snow mix that day. When truck was parked, everything was fine. Went back a day or two ago to run to town, and when i hit the brakes it made a grinding like noise. I thought it was ice where it had sit. I hit the brakes real hard once, and now it doesnt do it under minor braking but only under harder braking. Sounds like the front passenger side ... truck is a 07 QC with 1800 miles. Rotors look fine and not scored, so ? Havent popped wheel off yet...just wondering if there was any common problems on these, or if a rock is possible? With those 20 inch wheels , they look pretty much open for whatever. Anyone experience this?

I have gotten rocks in between the dust shield and the rotor. You can take the wheel off or try to get a finger tip on the dust shield and pull it out far enough to let the rock fall out. The are indentions in the shield than can trap a rock rather than let it travel out the other side as the rotor turns.
Good luck

Thanks man. Will check that out. Actually, now that you say that, it does sound like the brake shield making noise as well...
