I was just on the dodge site and it says the HP for the 07 hemi is 345 in the ram, and it said 330 for the 08 Ram....why did they do that???

i think thats the 3500 Ram

 

Not sure where you are getting your info, but my 08 was rated at 345hp & 375ftlbs. and I have the Hemi with MDS and Yes, I get 20 mpg easily, but that is on cruise control at 65 mph. I push it up over 70-75 mph and mpg goes down to right around 16 mpg.

 

I just moved from an 05 to this 08, I notice no change in power or torque..

I do notice when the MDS kicks in, and i am still waiting for the gas mileage improvement

yea i always thought it was 345 for the trucks and 330 for the durango...

 

the 3500 with the hemi is the one with 330HP.

Right from the Hemi Description on the Website. why they do that i don't know. you think you would want more power in the 3500.

 

It may be a more conservative tune because they know the 3500s will be very heavily loaded.

 

MDS is only available in 1/2 ton trucks isnt it? If I am correct in this then the Chrysler site is misleading. Listing 1 ton horsepower ratings with 1/2 ton gas mileage ratings.
