Default Winch Setup for Rear Bumper

Has anyone seen this on a full size truck, jeep drivers are starting to do this as obviously its easier to pull yourself out the way your came in.
If anyone has links or input I'd appreciate it.

Yeah i have seen it alot around here.

I believe it is made by WARN, i think it is called a multi mount. Do a search and it will turn up. Basically the winch mounts to a carrier with a 2" reciever stinger on it. You mount a bar to the frame in front with a 2" reciever on it, then you can move from front/back by removing a few pins.

Seen them in action, they work great and seem to be stoutly built.

no pics though,sorry

Hey thanks for the info, found one by warn right away, bout a grand for 9k pull capacity. A buddy and myself were in his 2wd dodge, and came up upon a long 50yard piece of mud, this was around the time of those Dodge commercials with the two "rednecks", so I egged him on telling him to floor it. Needless to say we got stuck 15 yards in, we rocked it for ever, he got out and pushed, wound up looking like swampthing when all was said and done. Anyways to top it off, next to us was a farm and no lie two donkeys (aka jackass) came up and were looking at us, another pair of jackasses for getting stuck.

Yea, it works quite well, I've got a hunting/fishing/camping buddy in Ga. who has one. Had a front receiver put on his truck as well. Now if he gets stuck he can put it on either end and pull himself free.

I was actually toying with the idea of getting that Warn winch with the built in air compressor and putting it on the front of my truck. Then buying that mount and putting my existing winch on it and using it on the back of my Grand Cherokee Overland. Only down side I can see is having to carry it around when not in use...

An air compressor is a nice addition to the warn line, however I bought a 450 amp jumpstarter that has a 260psi (warn 100psi) air compressor as well as a few dc ports and a usb port plus a small light. Its a nice all in one bundle, that way you can take it on your ATV for camping for some extra juice. Was just a little over 50 bucks at advance auto parts. Older model pictured below. Lastly, a damn jumper cable will run you 20-40 bucks depending on the gauge and you still need someone else with a working battery or youre still Up $h!ts Creek.

I run a multimount setup on my Dodge. A receiver front and rear as well as cables running to both ends.
It works very well.

Yea, Ramit, I keep one very similar to that in my toolbox, along with recovery gear, gas welding & cutting setup & tools out the a**. Not only does it come in handy to jump start someone (Last one was a beauty in a parking lot that was about 22 years old, damn near 6' and less than 130 lbs. That alone should be reason enough for all of us to carry one!!!) But the compressor comes in handy to air up my air bags when I'm carrying the ATV.
But I was actually looking at the Warn because it has enough CFM to actually run air tools...

Oh, and BTW Ce2, nice setup, very similar to what my buddy in Ga. has on his '98 Chevy Z71.

CE2, how did you run the wiring to the rear? I beat the hell out of the bottom of my truck, even bent a piece of metal that shields the gas tank onto the rear axle.

Hammer, yeah no way that booster/air compressor could run air tools, so yeah the winch/air comp makes sense, it always seems like you run out of space so when you can get two in one go for it. Theres a truck in my hometown in jax fl, its a mid 90's F-350 with 6 full size doors, its a longbed, can't imagine how crappy the payload capacity is on something that long.
