Coopers
I love my 305 Cooper Zeons!

I haven't had anything to test 'em yet except rain and they're fantastic there. Our last snowfall, all 2 inches of it, was 5-6 years ago. I think they quit carrying the 305s though which means it'll suck if I need to replace one later on.
305/50/20 is an inch shorter than stock. It does mean it drops the truck 1/2 inch but it also changes the effective gearing from 3.92 to around 4.03, making a very noticable difference in acceleration. I like the tradeoff.

As a follow up to my original post... Good grief! These tires are awesome. I went up into the mountains today with blowing snow advisories and snow drifting. These tires were night and day! They dig in and they stop very well in snow pack. Whoever buys these will be very happy! I gave them a very valid test in real mountain snow! My wife was with me and complimented on the great purchase. Tires like this are a necessity in the mountains plus they just look cool on the truck. They are vastly superior to the stock tires. I didn't think it would be that much, but wow!
Pcollins, I understand your concern with 2wd. In the Denver metro area you should be ok. However, the last 2 years we have got alot of snow so going up some of these mountain roads and passes it gets a little hairy but I even tested today in 2wd and the truck did well. CODOT does a good job on the highways. The only problem is there is alot of snow drifting in the mountains and if it gets a little deep in spots you may sit and spin. I wouldn't sell your truck yet. Just get out here and see. If you are a skier and go to the mountains on snowy days you may have to consider only due to the incline of some hills. Usually the grade is only 8-10% though. So, just wait and then see. Plus the summers you won't need 4x4 and it is awesome out here then too.
