On your next oil change replace 1qt or half a qt with some ATF fluid and give it a quick change after a hundred miles or so. It should clean you right out.

did u buy the truck used? if so u may be battleing the previous owners stupidity, like runnig penzoil and never changing it.

no i do mean pennzoil[:'(]never saw it happen on quaker state but many times on pennzoil and havoline.saw wax so deep in a oil pan running havoline that the crank throws were cutting grooves in it! yes wax.

It sounds to me like "jonsey" might be just out to dealer-bash. He's a new member, he says he's
done oil changes every 3000 miles since the truck was new, and lately has done them at 1500 miles. He's had several enigne flushes done, and 2 oil pumps in the last 6 months. Either he's being bent over big time, or something doesn't add up here..........Even with rough driving, 1500 miles isn't enough to even turn the oil black

All good points. I missed the fact he's the original owner. Dagnabbit! Always in a hurry! Anyway, you're right - there's something fishy here. Maybe he's using straight crude oil?
