Default Yaarrrrrr....

Ugh. Well, I bought a used hypertech programmer off of ebay. Despite the listing stating that it was not vin locked, i got it, and it sure as hell was.... I went to hypertech this morning (since they are about 3 minutes up the street from me) and they would not do anything for me. The guy on ebay is giving me a refund (he cant vin unlock it because he has traded in the truck, which is why he sold the programmer), but I was really looking forward to reprogramming the computer. I guess I will go with the superchips now....

That's a bummer man. I too ordered a used programmer on eBay. Hopefully I won't have the same misfortune as you, but the price was too good to pass up, and he told me he unlocked it according to what he was told by Superchips, so hopefully I'll be ok, but now you got me worried... lol... I'll find out Friday according to the tracking number....

Sorry man...

C'est la vie, i guess... Or as Frank said "That's Life, Thats what all the people say"

Good Luck Brandon! I hope yours works... I only went with the hypertech cuz I thought that if I needed support, they are here in town and I could get it. But unfortunately that was not the case. Superchips here I come....

Now I have to wait until the ebay seller responds, then I have to send it back to him and wait for my refund. Ugh

Yea, it was a blessing. The Hypertech has very little gains compared to the Superchips on '04+ Hemi's.

Thanks guys. I feel a little better now. I need to have patience though. Oh well, I have some headers coming, so I guess I will be doing my exhaust first.

Hypertech programmers suck. I had one for my F-150 and it took about 40 minutes to program and didn't really do ****. What a waste, stay away from those things.

I'd wait to get a predator if I was you, hopefully they'll be out for the hemi trucks soon...either way they are worth the wait.

Also make sure he's not trying to stall in refunding your money. People do that **** all the time because there's a certain time limit that you can put a dispute in through paypal. I'd put one in just in case, you can always withdrawl it later.

To me it sounds like he knew damn well that it wasn't unlocked...he had to know because he didn't return his old truck to stock. Anyone that would sell it anyway is a scammer and needs to be treated as such. But that's just my opinion..
